According to socio-constructivist approaches any learning only becomes meaningful and effective if learners take an active role in the construction of knowledge. Our communication aims to present an innovative practice that places teachers at the centre of discussion and reflection, and as partners in the construction of an online course for teacher well-being as part of an Erasmus KA3+ European project, Teaching To be. About 500 primary and secondary education teachers from the 8 partner countries (Austria, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, and Portugal) participated in this project. The adoption of a participatory action-research methodology involved focus-group sessions with teachers to assess and develop the content of the online course. The online course includes some important topics for professional well-being such as: effective time management; the influence of beliefs on behaviour and emotions; the importance of support networks and social support; the identification of goals and strengths for professional development; and classroom management.
