The 6th Barcelona Conference on Education (BCE2025) and The 6th Barcelona Conference on Arts, Media & Culture (BAMC2025) took place in Barcelona, Spain, from September 30 to October 4. Hosted at the Toulouse Business School (TBS) and the Hotel Barcelona Condal Mar, the conference gathered 277 delegates from 63 countries to discuss issues around the future of education and media in an era of increasing polarisation, geopolitical tension, and disruption caused by AI.

Over 90% of delegates hold postgraduate degrees, with over 70% employed as university faculty. The event boasts strong regional and global engagement, as seen in the diaspora of its delegates. Last year's largest delegate groups came from the United States (9%), South Africa (7%), the Philippines (6.5%), the United Kingdom (4.5%), and Canada (4.5%).
While delegates primarily attend IAFOR conferences to present their latest research, their conference feedback reveals a wide range of motivational aspects which encourage attendance in both the plenary and parallel sessions.
Participants reported being motivated by the opportunity to network with and receive feedback from scholars and industry professionals from diverse backgrounds, engaging with leading plenary speakers who are active in global research, and the ability to submit to open access publishing opportunities.

IAFOR is a platform for international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Our delegates found the opportunities to connect with fellow participants during the conference to be moderate interaction by 89.06 per cent of the respondents. Delegates attending the conference onsite found networking experience to be somewhat effective but could be improved, with over 74.76 per cent satisfaction. Our conference’s hospitality and ambience are pleasant and inviting, with a 4.03 out of 5 rating from the respondents.
Learn from Experts in Your Field
The conference performs well in terms of academic content delivery, with an overall score of 80.94 per cent. The plenary sessions and featured presentations were found to be engaging, with an overall 81.56 per cent satisfaction. As for delegates’ presentation, 89.06 per cent of the respondents found parallel presentations to be moderately useful but could be more engaging.
Receive Support from Submission to Presentation
Delegates attending the event found the overall pre-conference support helpful. They have received useful information from IAFOR prior to joining the conference, rating the information provided on the website at 4.34 out of 5. The submission system was found to be easy to use by 90.63 per cent of the respondents. Our email communication was prompt, clear, and highly effective, with an overall score of 90.31 per cent. The registration system was straightforward and easy, with over 81.25 per cent of the respondents rating it at 4.39 out of 5.
